Room or Zoom

Thanks to Covid-19, 2020 would have to be the worst ever year for getting married.

Destination weddings to places like Fiji, Vanuatu and Bali had to be cancelled or put on hold…

Weddings within Australia had to be moved or changed because of border closures or limitations on guest numbers…

Social distancing and limited or no dancing came into play…

In some cases, quarantine had to be taken into consideration…

It became impossible for international guests to travel…

When it came to writing some speeches a new dimension to communicating with quality video/audio made contact with friends and relative interstate or overseas possible.

Part of the speech would be delivered to those in the room while parts would be delivered to others via Zoom.

The only thing to keep in mind is time zones. Midday in Brisbane can be 2:00am in London, 9:00pm in New York and 10:00am in China so a video recording might be more appropriate than a live cross.

Either way, it has introduced another consideration to the way wedding will be conducted for quite some time!
